I just received a "dime penny roll" I purchased on eBay. As advertised, it has a Mercury dime on one end (1940 Philadelphia), and an Indian Head Cent on the other (1898). Inside were 48 other coins, in this breakdown:
- 3 1910s
- 5 1920s
- 9 1930s
- 17 1940s, including an obvious-to-the-naked-eye cleaned 1943 steel cent
- 14 1950s
There were a few that were a bit rarer than most, but nothing outstanding. I am moderately pleased by the results.
